What is Technical Diving?

Technical diving goes beyond the limits of recreational scuba, opening access to deeper depths, longer bottom times, and more challenging environments such as caves, wrecks, and decompression dives. It requires specialized training, equipment, and planning to safely manage the use of multiple gases, advanced decompression procedures, and complex gear setups like sidemount with multistage cylinders.
I offer a full progression of technical diving courses, from building strong fundamentals and mastering advanced nitrox, to applying accelerated decompression strategies, understanding decompression theory, and developing advanced multistage sidemount skills for safe exploration in overhead and deep environments.

Deep Diver
Deep diving can be very attractive for many reasons, as it allows you to see less frequented corners of coral reefs, dive on deeper wrecks, or reach places where few divers go. During the course, you will learn how to plan and perform non-decompression dives to a depth of 40 meters.

Master Fundamentals
The Master Fundamentals course is a comprehensive training programme designed for ambitious divers who want to perfect their diving technique and deepen and systematize their theoretical knowledge. This programme will prepare you to continue your training at technical, cave and professional levels.
Prerequisites:Be at least 16 years oldIDF Deep Diver or IDF Rescue Diver certificationsBe in good health to participate in the course
Multistage Side Mount Diver
During the IDF Multistage Side Mount Diver course, you will master the use of a side mount configuration enhanced with additional side tanks, which will become your ticket to continuing your training at technical levels in this configuration.

Advanced Nitrox Diver
Technical diving allows you to exceed the limits imposed by non-decompression limits in recreational diving, reaching new worlds deeper and further than ever before. The IDF Advanced Nitrox Diver course is an excellent way to take your first steps in technical diving, learning all the necessary skills and gaining the knowledge that allows you to understand the processes that divers undergo during dives beyond the no-decompression limits. During this intensive training, you will learn how to plan and execute dives to a depth of 50 meters using a single decompression gas with up to 100% oxygen content.
