Pragmatic Rebreather Training for Overhead Environments

A rebreather is not a fragile mystery that no one else is allowed to touch. It is simply a tool - a highly effective CO2 filter and oxygen manager. Modern machines are intuitive and straightforward; if you can maintain a regulator's first stage, you have the mechanical aptitude to manage your own CCR.
As an instructor for the S7 CCR (and soon the Flex2 CCR), I specialize in Sidemount (SM) and Dual SM configurations. For overhead environments -whether caves, mines, or wrecks - I believe that a sidemount CCR is the ultimate, most versatile system available, particularly for solo divers.

S7 CCR
The S7 CCR is the world's lightest and most compact manual Closed-Circuit Rebreather (mCCR), weighing just 5 kg (11 lbs). It fits into half of a standard airline suitcase, making it highly portable for travel and advanced cave, sump, and expedition diving.

The Flex 2 CCR by iQsub is a highly specialized, exploration-grade mixed-gas rebreather designed primarily for sidemount diving. It is built with a rugged, compact cylinder that safely houses the scrubber, electronics, and counterlungs.
